Hello again!
Right I can carry on from yesterday. Ziplining was fantastic! One of the best activities I've done! There were about 14 ziplines, and the instructors moved you so fast from one line to the next that you barely had time to panic about being a hundred feet above the rainforest! Flying over the canopes was just incredible, words an explain it! Wish I could have photographed it, but our hands were clinging on for dear life. After about the third line, the guy would attach you to another line, but it wasn't going horizontal, I didn't have time to realize it was a little drop, I hate sudden drops by that was nothing to the end! The second to last line was called the superman, and instead of being in a kind of sitting position we were strapped to the line by our back so we were flying really high over the forest canope, that was fun but a little scary because I didnt know where to put my hands and had nothing to hold on to! But the last thing we didn't have to do: the tarzan swing!! I was being told that I had to live upto my name and do it. It was pretty much a bungy, except we would hold on to the rope rather than being tied by the feet and then jump off a hundred metres into the forest below! We had to walk down this long bridge to get to the jump, and we has to do it one by one so it was really ominous! I was last to go, so I figured I would walk to the end and have a look atthw drop and then decide. I got to the end and looked down, the rest of the group were waiting at the bottom shouting for me to do it. I stood there for a bit before the guy got fed up and started attaching my harness, he told me to lean on the gate and then I turned to ask do I jump or does he push? He pushes! It happened so quick but I'm gla he pushed me, I would have been there forever if he had waited for me to jump! Sharon and sandra, you guys will be happy to know that the rest have picked up your habit of taking the comical pics of me and now the videos! Apparently the video of me jumping is hilariousbecause my legs are scrambling in the air like I'm running! I was trying to find solid ground, but was unsuccessful haha!
I was on such an adrenaline rush after that! We found a shop that sold dairy milk, yay, a little taste of home:) I don't think chocolate and beer is the ideal combo to calm the adrenaline!
We got to la fortuna about midday and went straight to the offices that organize our activities while we're here. The next couple of days are going to be fun! We're climbing the Arenal volcano in a couple of hours, then going to the hot springs and having dinner there. Tomorrow we're going horseback riding to a waterfall. The day after, we're going White water rafting! I wasn't going to do it, but seeing as I jumped a hundred metres yesterday, I figured rafting wouldn't be so scary!
Anyway, let you know how it goes in a day or two! It's so sad we are nearing the end of our trip! I've been with these guys for over a month:(
Speak soon! Hope all is good at home!
xXx
Ps missing gonzo, give her a cuddle!
