First full day in Hong Kong today. First stop was the Japan Travel Agency to apply for our visas for China. We somehow managed to overlook this completely and didn't apply for them in advance! Fortunately the process has been quite easy and getting them here seems to have saved us quite a bit of money. We then headed off to the harbour and caught the Star Ferry across to Hong Kong Island (only 20p each!) so that we could catch the Peak Tram up to Victoria Pea...

Arrived in Hong Kong yesterday. Managed to sleep on the 12 hour flight so jet lag not too bad. Went out last night for a nice meal on Knutsford Terrace, with lots of chilli. Also visited the night market for some rather pathetic bartering (found the same chopsticks in a shop later for half the price - definitely room for improvement). We're off travelling again! This time it's Hong Kong, China, New Zealand and Los Angeles. No motorbikes this time. Bit of a stressful day as we realised this morning that our return flight from Guilin to Hong Kong was a month out!

Headed back to Caen on the bikes today. All managed to get on the right boat this time! Has been another great cycling holiday.

Decided on a non-cycling day today and instead went on a bit of a tour of southern Normandy with Paula, stopping at the medieval town of Domfront and the chateau at Carrouges.
