Nella's spanish and european aventures
so things have been incredibly up and down lately.
first we were so stoked about cadiz that we had to go right away and didnt even wait til saturday. we went friday afternoon just after i posted last and we got off one train station too early so that we could walk the entire island of cadiz (NOT ON PURPOSE) only to reach the corte ingles totally pooped. of coarse once we arrived and saw the make up counters of what we thought to be one of the main department stores, familiarity perked us right up! so then we broused a little and found that when we wanted to go out of the store it wasnt possible. ... it was one giant 4 story department store type thing, we've decided that it was a mix between target, and macy's with a walmart and a food court sectioned off in it. it was a TOTAL bust! but life goes on right. so saturday we woke up late got "EL GAS" delivered, took our showers and watched a movie... yeah we're real partiers!!
so sunday we went to this church that is the assembly of God denomination, the people were nice, but it was a bit too much of an experience for me... dont think we'll be returning, so far our best bet has been the catholic church i have pics up of in el puerto, it's so hard to find a church here for some reason, we may end up taking trips to cadiz every sunday who knows!
then there was the horrible news i received yesterday that i'm no longer scheduled to graduate in may.........WHAT?!?!!!! so i'm in the process of taking care of that one with a possible extended stay in el puerto for more school, and more credit, and then adding yet another DLP course!! yay i get to leave school just to spend all my time in school... why am i here again??? anyway we are going to make it work somehow and attempt to enjoy the heck out of it while we're here. the good news is that when i told my teacher what was going on we spent our discussion time in class talking about ways to travel on the weekends and it turns out we could fly for cheaper than we could take a train so weekend excursions may be the key to making this whole trip work out!!!
God is amazing and will work this out for the best, another month of spanish will make my spanish much better and traveling by plane would be much less taxing than 12 hr train rides. the questiion of the day is what april will do, we think she'll be back and forth for those 4 weeks from here to paris where she will be meeting and hanging out with good friends in for vacations.
k well... gotta go see if i can find a "go phone" that should be fun to try and express!! see you later
nella bella :)
