Drive into NYC was scary! I kept my eyes shut, fortunately Peter didn't. Car returned safely and got the bus back in through Harlem. Quite an experience and all for 1.10 dollars each. Amazing value. Very busy here but hotel good and found a nice Italian restaurant just down from the hotel. Had lovely walk round Lincoln Centre later. Will eat there again tonight. Spent last night in Ithaca, home of Cornell University which is famous for Vet Sci and Agriculture. Lovely drive from Lancaster with beautiful weather and the tree lined Interstate. Peter's really enjoyed the driving , good job as I'm not that keen on left hand drive. Price o petrol is half UK so filling up or £20 a time. Here we are in New York after a fantastic week on QM2. All they say about luxury is true - the stateroom, the public areas, the dining room and the food. Have never eaten so much fish, brilliant. Entertainment was really good too. Sea calm most of the time but even when it was rough we were fine.
