Just a quick update for all our fans...
We arrived in Scotland last night, after a very long awaited flight to Edinburgh. After managing to get plenty of sleep it was time to take in some of the scenery. We went on a walking tour, which also happened to be free (bonus). We are already over the whole walking thing, but there is always something differnent around the next corner, so in the end it's all worth it.
Matthew was our tour guide, he was brilliant!!!!!!! Highly entertaining, witty and he even knew some stuff about Edinburgh. We gave him a 50c tip and he said he would treasure it for ever.
We had lunch at Biddy Mulligans (nothing like a burger and beer for 5 quid). Well we exchanged the Beer for a Whisky, I mean an Irn Bru (which tastes even better in Scotland). While having lunch the Olympics was on the big screen and would you believe it the Womens Javelin was on. Good thing there was an athlete from GB competing. Later we even manged to find a pub that screens the AFL (we were just a little excited about that too).
We caught up with one of my cousins (who lives in Edinburgh), its not like we actually wanted to hang out with her though (she had our Edinburgh Tattoo tickets). It was good to catch up with her though and learn a bit more about the cool things to do.
We went to St Johns the evangelical (the Scottish equivalent of the Anglican Church). The stained glass windows were just amazing. We even got to see a Japanese drumming/Indian Dance presentation, it was only their rehersal, but it was free (another bonus).
We cant quite get photos on yet, but will try tomorrow.
Over and out
