What a great day waking up at Cable Beach Sanctuary Resort. Such a relaxing place to have a holiday. The complex is set on large acreage with all units facing the beautiful pool. In the cool of the afternoon we wandered from our Sanctuary Apartments down to see the sunset on Cable Beach. The suburb of Cable Beach is an upmarket area with lots of lovely modern holiday apartments and restaurants. Our accomodation was about a 1km walk from the beach. The flight to Broome from Darwin was cool. I had a window seat so could see for miles. The plane wasn't full which made it easy to check out the view from the other side of the plane. First day in Darwin began with a hearty breakfast in the dining room of the Travelodge. Then off to get a little hire car from Thrifty.
