First day in Darwin began with a hearty breakfast in the dining room of the Travelodge. Then off to get a little hire car from Thrifty. I now drive a new little Getz automatic which allowed me check out the Darwin metropolis and visit the museum. Darwin is a pretty port. Arrived safely at Darwin airport. Plane 30 mins late. Took the shuttle to the Travelodge Mirambeena Resort where Tim is staying. Have unpacked and will check out the lodgings and go for a walk into town soon. Weather is lovely and warm. Check out the cool carpet on the floor of Darwin terminal.
