Hi Everyone,

Made it to another internet cafe,there is so much to see and great distances to travel it isn't always easy to get somewhere open at the end of the day.

I arrived in Melbourne and Alison was at the airport to meet me,she is looking well and has had a fabulous time travelling.We booked into a youth hostel for the night,I reckon I'm the oldest swinger in town!!

The next morning we got a tram into the the city and had a walk round, on the way back we got off a stop early and had a wee visit to the Children's Hospital,it looked very nice and was busy.

We collected our gear from the hostel and headed out to the airport,the flight to New Zealand was on time and very enjoyable. We landed in Christchurch at 11.15pm. and got a shuttle bus into the centre,it was just the two of us in the bus ,the driver was a lady who took us on a wee scenic tour and told us all about her city.The place was buzzing and the ladies of the night were very evident,we checked into our youth hostel and stayed in!!

The next morning,which was the 1st. of September,the official first day of spring in the southern hemisphere,was bright and sunny,the daffodills,snowdrops,crocus,camelias are all blooming.

We headed off to find the camper depot which was about a five minute walk from the hostel.
