Old World Exploration
On our journey through England we spent a good portion of our time trying to adjust to the time change. During the time when we were awake we visited the Tower of London, Tate Modern Museum, London Towever Bridge, St James Church, House of Parliament, Westminister Abbey, the London Eye and the Oxo Tower.
We made our way through a few of the areas in the city such as Piccadilly Circus, Soho and Leicester Square. There was a lot to see but my favorite area was Paccadilly Circus where we saw Mama Mia, it was absolutely Brilliant.
The Brits we met were quite hilarious and we enjoyed speaking with them over a pint of guiness. I myself had a difficult time initially understanding them with the british accent, Jamie was usually laughing at me b/c I'd have to have them repeat themselves a lot. I understood about 8 of 10 words they would say. None the less we seemed to make a few friends wherever we were.
The most important thing I learned in London was:
How to speak like a Brit
"you hav'in a Larf(laugh)?"-Are you kidding me
"This is bloody expensive, you charging me fify quid"-quid means pounds
"Eeeeiieeezzzyy(easy with enthusiasm and the accent)"-this word replaces everything......you can use it like the word sick or cool.
