Faring well at our farewell - It may seem unusual to start a travel blog with an entry based just 300 yards from home, but every story has to have a beginning and we wanted many of our readers to be part of that beginning.

A sunny day; a beautiful London square; 300 beers, 40 bottles of bubbles, 2 Bacardi Mojitos; 12.5kg of ice in a dustbin; a surprise BBQ from the Best Men; three cute babies; two hilariously drunk friends; a great 'survivors photo' (as you can see); and a thankfully long queue to the local club which forced us all to eventually go home.

The morning after turned from "congratulations" to "with sympathy", as we were forced to unpack our carefully assembled first aid kit and raid the paracetemol supplies. We knew the kit would come in useful but kinda hoped to get beyond Zone 1 first...!
