Sucre is Bolivia's most beautiful city, it is a glorious ensemble of whitewashed buildings, friendly people and good eateries. It is renowned for being a good place to learn Spanish so we enrolled for four days at 'Me Gusta' Spanish School. James had 3 private lessons as he wasn't feeling great, Bolivian stomach disease! I had 4 group lesson (as I am so advance) with a really sweet American girl otherwise known as Trista and an Irish guy called Paul. Our teacher was Coco and he was fantastic, such good fun and I feel that I have learnt a lot, it is just a shame that we can't stay for longer. Our hostel, La Dolce Vita, was the best we have stayed in so far. A French couple have ran the hostel for 6 years; James was so pleased to be able to use his superb French language skills.
I did a cooking class with 'Me Gusta' it was with a group of other students at the owners of the schools house. It was really fun to be cooking and speaking (well for the most part) Spanish to each other.
We enjoyed some great food around the plaza and hiked up to the Mirador (lookout point) which had a great view over the city but the walk was very steep. The weather here is a bit warmer due to the height so it was nice to be able to wear fewer clothes, get this body the tannage it deserves!
