Disneyland was simply great, despite and also because of the rain. Hong Kong Disneyland has a reputation for being too small - but it was the perfect size for us in one day. Highlights were two live shows...we've never seen Abbey clap so vigorously!...and repeated visits to "It's A Small World" (Mike's childhood favorite - the apple doesn't fall far from the tree). We spent a full 8 hrs at the park and Abbey fell asleep on the train ride home.

Our first day in Hong Kong we awoke so excited. But as we set out across Kowloon toward the Star ferry, heat and exhaustion caught up with us and we moved more and more sluggishly. Wahoo! We're here! Flight was long (13hrs) but good - lots of movies. Hong Kong feels huge and exciting. Our hotel room is in the middle of the bustling Tsim Sha Tsui district - tiny shops and restaurants and neon everywhere. Our room is small but very clean and amazingly quiet, and we have 3 single beds. We were so ready to put our heads down last night. Mike and I passed out almost right away but Abbey was totally wired. She spun around on her bed like a cat tr...
