Our first day in Hong Kong we awoke so excited. But as we set out across Kowloon toward the Star ferry, heat and exhaustion caught up with us and we moved more and more sluggishly. We decided not to expect anything of the day and just wander. Abbey tried to rebel against the humidity by refusing to eat...but a discovery of tuna croissants saved the day. Our favourite area really was right where we were staying - especially at night. Marching down bustling neon packed streets in the rain... I felt liked I'd stepped into Bladerunner. By 8pm we were out cold.
