Arrived in Punakaiki after a long drive from Nelson on some really bendy roads through the Mountains, but we made it! Stayed in a gorgeous hostel right on the coastline. We had our own little hut with a great view of the sea. Next morning we went down the road to sea the strange looking pankacke rocks, called this because the way the layers of rock look like, you guessed it, a stack of pancakes. It was a really impressive coastline, with the rocks and blow holes and hot weather.
