Over the last couple of weeks Michael and I have been hanging out with the family with the odd venture out. A typical day is waking up around 9am to have mate with Dayhana (who lives in the back of Amparo's house). Breakfast is typically an assortment of pastries. Around 3pm we usually have lunch. What we eat varies, but typically would be a rice with meat dish. Throughout the day we socialize with various friends and family, usually we're either eating together or playing a very vocal game of Uno. In the evening its usually mate again, more Uno or movies, and then to bed. It might not sound that exciting but each day has been great experiencing the culture here.
The next couple of weeks we plan to travel to Buenos Aires, take a week long road trip round East Uruguay and working our way up to Brazil, and the following week make our way to West Uruguay to visit Colonia.
