Our first day at Lamai Beach today 7am we took a nice stroll along the beach before we sat in the sunshine. A couple of hours later I took a look at Tom in the sun who looked like a bright red TOMATO that was time to go inside! We went for our first meal out which was really cheap and we had a delicious dessert! We have spent the past 11 nights in three different hotels on Lamai beach. Including three nights in a box room with only a fan that wouldn't of cost anymore than a tenner in Asda not pleasant! After all the budgeting and saving we've done to come over here we just wanted to completely relax and enjoy the beach for a while. Every night we took a long walk along the beach to get to the main part of the town. Ate cheap Thai food apart from one night I was craving a Mexican... Guess what I found one! Had the nicest burrito ever with a nice big cocktail full of flowers and fruit! We went to the night market and both got bracelets. Fell in love with a cat at a cocktail bar called Nepal but we kept calling him nipple haha. We watched an amazing fire show on the beach which left our clothes stinking of bonfire the next day! One of the last nights in lamai we decided to have a big night out. We stocked up on alcohol to get us started while we got ready and instead of getting dinner we ended up in a cocktail bar! Two cocktails later we strolled along to the "go go" bars. Tom attempted to sit as far away as possible but I dragged him to have front seats at the bar, three half naked ladies dancing around a pole! After a couple of drinks at the bar I decided I needed to rescue these girls and attempted to keep all men away while reducing the girls to tears while they were dancing. It didn't seem like anyone had ever worried about them before. Long story short ended up kind of having a "lock in" even though it was an outdoor bar with them playing connect 4 and a weird dice game until they were ready to go home. McDonald's on the way home of course! The next morning... I felt horrific! The worst ever hangover tom looked after me very well. One day I was looking at the sweeties in a supermarket and the biggest spider was next to me! Now we are on our way to Koh phangan going to stay in haad yao for a week as we have heard it's beautiful and really good for snorkelling.
