On the 16th we headed off on a speedboat down the Mekong river.  It was another interesting journey.  Before we did so we sang happy birthday to Padhraig who turned 30 on our tour.  We headed about 2 hours down river and then got off the boat to go through the border on the Cambodian side - this took all of 3 minutes each   The we headed two minutes down on the boat and waited 45 minutes at the Vietnam border - were we got people selling us beer, drinks, crisps - best wait till someone has bought something then you can get a better deal than the first person.  I paid 1 dollar for i bottle of water and then minutes later it was 1 dollar for two bottles   We then headed off 2 hours to Chau Doc - in the mean time I managed to burn a nice patch on the lower half of my back from leaning forward on my seat in the boat, Kieran managed to give himself panda eyes and Sinnead managed to get her arms burnt through factor 30!!!  It was hot.  We arrived at our hotel and then went out for dinner.    There was a great Neon Budda in the centre of the town but I am not sure we have a photo!!!
