Soooo excited!! We drop off the camper and make tracks for the airport boarding around 11am. The plane is great, really comfortable and were delighted to discover it's unlimited drinks (dangerous) and the food is not too shabby!

We aren't sat together though, Jacqs a row infront of Matt and makes friends with a Hawaiian teacher called Kay whose been on a programme in new Zealand. We have unlimited movies also and indulge In the Hobbit trilogy for the journey only making it halfway through the final film. The departure announcement is fab - its a video of Lord of the Rings cast providing the safety announcement. A few drinks in and Jacq and Kay are cackling away having a great time and Matt is merry.

It's a 9 hour flight and when we disembark the finger print scanner at customs has packed up so we have an hours wait, shattered but luckily have our transfer still waiting outside greeting us with shell lays and a big aloha! Our transfer is swift and we arrive to our hotel Marina Tower around 11pm - this is the funny part.

Jacq didn't realise although we left on the 24th in New Zealand it would be the 23rd when we arrive in Hawaii - so we aren't booked tonight - it's booked from tomorrow ... school boy error big time! Luckily they have a free room and get us in- we pass out, excited to explore tomorrow!
