Both of us are absolutely hanging and dosed to the eyeballs, Jacq more so and cannot physically move.
Matt heads for pizza and cokes around 11am to see if they will cure us, he meets the Spanish bunch who find last night's antics hilarious and fill in some gaps. Ask us later. We spend most of the day in bed kicking ourselves for wasting the day - although a fab night it doesn't work when travelling.
Around 5pm we surface Matt has booked a trip to see a Kungfu theatre show live. It's great but we are both shattered - seeing the artists lay on nails etc. was amazing but we found it hard at times to stay awake. After the show, we head to a restaurant which looks awesome on the outside claiming to specialise in Beijing's number one dish Peking Duck. It's Matts favourite dish so we venture in, the food is ok but the service is shocking. They don't speak to us really and stare over us, as soon as we order they present the bill and wait for payment before we have eaten and you feel like they are talking about you - not in a good way. We head back. With constant whispers, staring and laughter we are not loving Beijing.
