The day started off with a tube ride to the Waterloo station, then a direct shot on the train to Salisbury. The Salisbury Cathedral was the only thing we really had time to see before dropping stuff off at the hotel. We attended Christmas Mass there and got seats directly behind the bishop thanks to some no-shows.

Today we went to Stonehenge, which is fascinating especially for it’s age and masterful architecture. I agree with most scholars that it was probably used as an early calendar, as the seasons would have been very important to the people who created it.
