Today we left Esperance to cross the Nullarbor plain on the Eyre highway. It started off with lots of trees then it changed to just scrub. We stayed at a place just in from the road in the bush. We had a fire and stayed up late looking at the stars. At our camp there was a hole in the ground from an underground cave with lots of cold air coming out depending on the air pressure. We also drove across the longest straight stretch of road, it was 90 miles. We drove for 500 kilometres in one day. The next day we drove for most of the day. We ended up camping at the top of a steep hill at the great Australian bight. We walked down to the beach and had a swim in the great Australian bight's icy water and luckily we didn't get a great white bite! It took half an hour to walk all the way down. Today we drove to Head of bight. We had a look at the lookout and and looked across at the awesome cliffs. We also saw lots of massive southern right whales and their babies. One of the mums rolled over onto its back to stop the baby from feeding. We could see it's huge white belly and it's fins in the air. At the end of the Nullarbor we stayed at Fowlers bay. We went sand boarding because the sand dunes were massive. It wasn't very fast because they were too soft. We also went 4wding over the rocks and sand dunes into a little bay that had lots of big fat sea lions. They were coming up close to us and then swimming away and then they go and play with the others. It was cool.
