I have managed eventually to leave Buenos Aires and head south to Bariloche in the Argentinian lake district but not before finally taking a cycling tour of the city. I saw the painted iron houses in La Boca and learnt much about the history of Buenos Aires, though it is possible that the guides might have been fabricating some of the stories. Needing to take a break between Buenos Aires and the forthcoming wine festival in Mendoza, I decided on Bariloche, a very tranquil town overlooking a vast lake and with oppertunities to go white water rafting. Forgetting to take my travel pillow out and also choosing the cheapest coach to take me on the 23 hour trip was a mistake, although I did get to watch the worst (but at the same time possibly the best) film ever made.
Synopsis: It is a Thai martial arts western, badly dubbed by actors that switch accents from American to Thai often throughout. The hero fights by riding on a firework against buffalo traders to find whoever killed his parents. There is a camp tyrannical prince that hires mercinaries to kill buffalo so he can sell people tractors. However, there is a demon buffalo trader that can only be killed by the help of a black wizard that has lepracy. The hero, thinkinhg it is this buffalo trader that killed his parents teams up with the prince and they enlist the help of the black wizard. Apparently they can only kill him by using a virgin´s menstural blood, so the hero asks the daughter of the black wizard for her help in the matter. There is then a shocking twist; the black wizard was actually the one that killed his parents and he posesses the same powers as the demon. He then decides to posess the prince, though not very well as he just becomes schizophrenic instead, and rape his daughter who isn´t actually his daughter. After a badly edited fights scene, the black wizard is taken off tied to a firework.
I wish I was making this up but I am not a genius.
