Today was the day!! Tom and I had booked on an ocean safari today. Yesterday a whale shark was spotted as well as a bait ball.(large group of sardines in a ball surrounded by bill sharks, White tips and dolphins. I was so excited. The excitment grew when I found out we were being joined by one of the worlds to whale shark experts who does his talk on Wednesday nights. The sea was really choppy, and although I admired the captain for his control of the rib I was beginning to get nervous of seeing nothing after 2hours came and went.. We had a snorkel and after waiting for Tom to appear we headed back, unsuccessful. I was devastated, and tom knew this and as a result didn't moan too much about seeing things, which I appreciated. We were meant to leave that night after a full moon party at Dino's. Just stay up until 0400!and catch the bus to Maputo then. However, they approached us after and asked us if we stuck around until tomorrow they would take us again for free... Since it was a fair amount of money we paid, it made sense.
Full moon party was good, I drank a fair whack, probably due to no sharks, my new tipple K.W.V brandy and coke, tastes like Xmas pudding..
Met a chap who worked for Sta and spoke to him most the night whilst he gave us stories from his travels and tips on places we were going. Room was spinning when my head hit the pillow!
