Today was the day!! Tom and I had booked on an ocean safari today. Yesterday a whale shark was spotted as well as a bait ball.(large group of sardines in a ball surrounded by bill sharks, White tips and dolphins. I was so excited. Last night I had slept very well. Because the building is round and has large open windows all the wind can come through making it cool. Gregor and co asked us last night if we'd like to join them on a trip down to the beaches south if Tofo since there is meant to be an on shore reef to snorkel. We wouldn't have got to go on our own as 4x4 only, no busses. So we snapped at the chance, especially as Alfred said no whale sharks had been seen in the last fee days.....

Gregor, Eve and Jo picked us up from our backpackers and we headed to Tofo in a Toyota rav4. It took little over 3 hours, when we spoke to sone guys who had taken public transport it had taken them 7!! We were very thankful. On the way we saw miles and miles of coconut palm trees!
