So today we both woke at 8 were the last ones up from our dorm! Everyone must have gotten up early to catch the busses. Really good showers here, so after making the most of those we headed into the old town part of Lilongwe. Brought some bread and had a look at a new shop they had just opened. It could have been in England with it's 3d tv's and sound systems, kind of a currys with a few isles of food.
On the way back, we got seriously hassled by painters, jewellers, cooks and the like all because told one chap that he was a good artist. Mums tactic of repeating the word "tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow" didn't even work and at one point I had at least 5 men trying to sell me their painting and getting annoyed at the other tradesmen for interfering! I thought they would start fighting soon so just walked off much to their annoyance!
We went for Chinese with Charlie, Abi, vale, martha and the Dutch guy Peter.. Was very nice but expensive compared to addis, and at the end if the meal we realised we had been charged so much for two bottles of wine it was more than all the food together!!! About £10 a bottle!!!!!!! So Abi complained because we asked for the cheapest... We got our money back but it meant it came out of the waiters wages! The manager was such a bully to this poor waiter, of course then we felt guilty as that's about a weeks wages for this poor waiter, so we decided to give it the waiter directly as the manager was belittling him so much in front of everyone!
We then went to a bar called the shed' which was busy and full of guys from Sa, after seeing this black bouncer having what the girls said was a stroke!!!! We headed back because Martha went back from the meal on her own and wasn't answering her phone and kept sending weird messages like, leave me alone now I'm here.... Apparently this is unlike her and she kept hanging up her phone and we all thought the worst... Turns out she was ok, so the girls brought vodka shots on martha's tab and then we all went a bit crazy and jumped in the pool, beers, clothes and all which in hindsight was not a good idea since were meant to be going the next day!!
Then we played pool, I was partnered with Abi and we dominated, then back in pool, shower?! Then bed! Eventful and very fun evening...
