Last night was horrid. Barely slept at all, due to the heat, worrying about money and things and once finally getting some shut eye would wake up with serious cramp in my calf's!! Was glad once the sun was up so I could sit outside without fear if those mozzys and compose myself.. Caught a bus from Mulanje to Blantyre after deciding we were going to cross into Mozambique north and catching the train just past the border instead I near Mulanje where the main road...

Thankfully managing to get a few more hours sleep before sunrise was possible after smoke episode.. Luckily we didn't have to take any bags up with us to the summit as we come down via Chistepoe hut. We headed off with our German friend. To begin with all was well, much like previous days, although slightly steeper. A few breaks were needed on the way. Today was another early start since we were due 10 and half hours walking uphill. I was first awake besides the hut caretaker whom was lighting the fire as I headed for a wash at 430am. Since my watch is still missing a pin neither if us nor the guide had the time, and therefore had not really known how long the hike had taken us until we ha arrived. We were woken up nice an early, although quite unexpectedly. Knocking wildly was a persistent chap we met yesterday who tried to sell us some stoves and pots for the mountain huts, since apparently they only provide fire.. I had already told him last night that we were not prepared to pay what he was asking to borrow a pot for 3 days, and because he was so ridiculously over priced to begin with I refused to buy. Nonetheless he woke us up perhaps hoping this good ...
