We arrived in Hanoi pretty exausted, and just stayed at the guesthouse that they dropped us off at. It was in the middle of the old quarter where we wanted to stay anyway, and we managed to get them down to 8 dollars for an air conditioned room!

We just wandered around the city, Jack ate some pigeon... see pictures... and had a look at the markets etc.

We weren't too keen on staying long in Hanoi, it was increadibly hot and increadibly busy. We decided to get the bus the next day to Vientiane in Laos - this was the big one, 22 hours to get there!!!
