Flew into LA on the 1st of July only to find that American Airline had decided to fly me but not my bag to California and let my bag spend a few more hours in Hawaii, considering it was a 715 flight i would have liked to spend a few more hours in Hawaii too. They everntually delivered my bag at 230am. Once I did get to the airport I found Manny (Chris, for those who dont know) and we went to our motel. LA is massive, it took an hour to get from the airport to the motel and all we could see was buildings, Our motel was in the middle of Chinatown which is next to downtown, I would recommend not staying at either of these places. On our first day we just walked around looking at the city, then the next two days we spent at Universal Studios. Universal was awesome, the best ride was the Jurrasic Park ride, its a lot like the Wild west ride at Movieworld for those who have been to the Gold Coast. We caught the subway out to Universal it was an interestinf experience, there was a lot of stereotypes on the subway, but it only costs $1.25 each way. If i had one comlaint about universal it would be that there wasn't enough roller coasters, there was only one proper one and that was the Mummy ride which broke down when we were on it, but only for 5 minutes. Then on the 4th day we caught the bus to the airport and flew to Mexico. Overal LA is over rated but universal studios was awesome, we go back there at the start of August but we are staying a bit closer to Hollywood that time.
