Hiya!
Into the first half of my second week here already! Time is going WAY too fast! It's Tuesday night and I am at my usual internet cafe madly trying to catch up with emails after what has been a busy start to the week!
On the weekend we (French friend, Soraya) wandered through the city, visited Trinity College, very impressive btw! Later on Saturday night went to a party so beforehand I went to the offy and was very pleased to see that the cheapest beer was XXXX! €1 per can ... very disappointed when it tasted like absolute s***e though!! Marie, another French girl from the hostel had moved out that day and was hosting a house warming party. Was good fun apart from the fact that the entire party spoke French so most of the time I sat there entertaining myself until fellow English speaking people arrived, there was a fair few of us there in Marie's beautiful new apartment playing drinking games etc ... headed home about midnight though, trying to communicate with people that don't speak fluent English can be very tiring!!
Monday came around way too quickly and it was time for me to get back into the routine of working again! We had induction training all day on Monday so was relatively cruisey! Everyone seems very nice at the new place, the building itself is impressive, it is on the River Liffey and is complete with it's own (free!) gym, restaurant etc etc. Very nice place to be! At the end of the day, after taking in too much information, it was back the hostel for a quick shower, dinner and straight to (the other side of) the bar! I have found myself a second job bar tending at a pub next to the hostel. It is your typical Irish pub with very adverse clientele. The 5 regulars I met last night all had no teeth and were there before I started and left not long before closing time. The staff are lovely though and I had good fun working there. Next shift is Friday, when it is meant to be very hectic ... fun, fun, fun!!
Anyways guys have been looking at a computer screen for way too long today.
Cheerio!
Much love xoxox
