Hi Glenny Carlile. was good to talk to you on sunday. made me glen-sick. miss ya darlin but it sounds like you have quite a nice life over in Japan. it's difficult, because I can't imagine living anywhere but London right now. I can't imagine living in such a foreign country and getting on with it like you seem to be doing. I think you should buy yourself that widescreen tv - at least then you will have the creature comforts of home! will be weird not spending christmas with you this year. will be strange not to be woken up by you at a crazy hour in the morning because you can't wait to rip open the layers of cardboard box that mum has hidden a cd in. it will be strange not to be able laugh at your facial expression as you tell mum solemnly that 'it's always good to get socks..... no really, I promise it is!' - and I will miss you delaring at the xmas dinner table that this is the only day of the year when you expect not to be given vegaetables when a little stray carrot is found lurking under turkey on your plate. I will miss not being able to buy you a tin of quality street and M&D to be horrified when a day later they ask to have one only to find that the tin is void of anything but wrappers and strawberry and orange creams. And i will miss a week later, having eaten all the other chocolate in the house that relatives have bought you, you begin to eat those strawberry and orange creams - even though they are rank and you don't actually like them - only because they are in the tin and you feel them taunting you. and because literally the cupboards are bare from the locust-like devastation that you wreak. I'll miss the fact that mum has to stock up on as many mince pies that she thinks you wouldn't possibly be able to eat, and then finds herself back down ASDA three days later because you actually ate that many. (Oh no - now who's done that??!!) Ahh what larks pip! Come home for xmas boy! just for the week. I'm sure between all of us we could stump up some money. Not sure where you'll sleep tho.... house was like a bloody battery farm with just Kath and I home over the weekend. anyway Love ya loads email me or call me soon ....... say hi to your girlf for me Jo xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Nice photos, Boy. Bumped into your mate Alex as I was getting my 11am hot chocolate this morning. I had no idea why he was staring at me until he asked if I was your sister and reminded me I gave you all a lift to the Toothbrush last NY's eve. Ah, fond memories of you all roaring drunk and breaking the car door. Having a good time, then? How's the teaching? Will try and sort myself out with a landline one of these days and give you a call. xx
Glen
Finally got a few new pictures from JAPAN on the website, sorry for the extended delay- language problems being the main reason, i will get more pictures on as soon as i figure out how to hook up my phone to this pc.....

Hey how are you doing? After jumping 18metres into a gorge I had to go home with a s***ty back! Now I have the joys of being in the social services.. And I miss being mistreated by stinking Ozzie farmers! Even being electrocuted in the showers wasnt that bad. At least we had Torre to laugh about!! I really need to get out of this s***hole called holland, busy looking for work in the uk.. cheers johan

It looks like I am to return to Hat Yai. How I have yearned to be back in this mythical city & now I can experience it with Verity. I hope to post more photo's of Verity & I's time on the East Coast, especially Fraser Island. It will be followed with more photographs of KL, Bangkok & Hat Yai's sister city Georgetown. May the cannons of Fort Cornwallis fire in our honour. Take care Glen & Alex, Soth East Asia will not be the same without you. The Thai whiskey awaits...

Hi Glen, last night at no.35 you are missing all the madness lucky lad. Glad your ok at least I glean your ok as there seems to be a bit of a news blackout from Japan, must be the typhoons eh!
Will be off line now for about a week BT cannot be coerced into connecting Broadband any quicker, what a waste of space they are. I'll be starting on my Victor Meldrew impression soon so I suppose I better go.
Take care, love dad.
