Rainbow beach is one of the places to get to Fraser from so that is the main reason people are here but there's a bit going on, since there is only really this one main hostel, dingo's, with everyone going across to Fraser its pretty lively.

Went Dolphin Kayaking yesterday, bloody hard work but worth it, saw a manta ray and a pretty big pod of dolphins nearby, came swimming under the kayaks and stuff, really nice. tried to surf the wave back in but we caught it sideways and capsised!

last night was supposed to be my last here, i should be on the bus to byron bay now but ive decided to stick around. a few reasons but mainly to dive the wolf rock which only goes on saturday not friday so i had to stay two extrra days. so....even though i was going to save it for NZ i decided what better way to fill the extra day but to skydive over rainbow beach and see fraser island. well it would have filled my day if i hadnt missed it.

a bit of a regrouping happened last night where loads of people kind of caught up so it turned into a bit of a heavy one. what went from a few drinks in the hostel turned into a beach party turned into the stupidest game ive ever played while sat in the doorway of the surf club, resulting in me with no clothes on because i was too drunk to start with, didnt understand the game and lost everytime! good! anyway, i woke up this morning to dan saying 'joe, youve missed your skydive' perfect! i made it down to the beach to watch them landing and they were fine about it, said i could go at 2pm. phew, 2 came and it was cloudy so its been cancelled so now im doing it tomorrow morning before i go diving. skydive at 8, scuba dive at 10, all in a days work!
