OK, finaly our journey started! Im going to write in english so the people not understanding finnish will be abl to enjoy my blog too.

We had a hell of a long flight from hel to paris and from there to mexico. No problems occurred except our "oversized" bag with knives etc all that illegal stuff got lost and we ll probably get it tomorrow. Its really a really small bag, 1,5kg. Thimbs up that we ll get it to our hostel.

Silja slept most of the flight and i was hyperactive. I ate as much as i could get in my hands and also enjoyed the lovely french aperitives, i.e champagne! Good food, many movies and i learned more polish again.

Already in Paris during boarding we saw people with dark gluey hair and thats when we realised we`re really going to mexico. Now in mexico they are everywhere! From the airport we took a taxi to a hostel we picked from lonely planet recommendations. It was an exciting trip, nervous actually. The taxi didnt look at all like a legal taxi and there were two guys in the front seats. Our poor spanish didnt ease the situation at all. I went through al the possible bad situation we could have got into.. but after talking with the driver and his friend we trusted them that they are taking us to the right place. Mexico is such a large city that no wonder the taxi drivers even dont know all the addresses.

It got dark as we drove through the suspicious streets but we had a lot of fun as the language barrier was quite big. Finally in the hostel both me and silja sighed of relief when poeple here talk english. FINALLY! probably should have taken those spanish lessons more seriously...

So to add up. we did everything that people warned us about not to. Took a taxi that wasnt the most trustable(at least at first sight) and after settling down we went for a walk and a beer. Ah, now dont feel nervous at home. The neighbourhood is very quiet and lovely.

Now i think is the time to go to sleep, as the day was quite rough. Tomorrow we`ll get up early for breakfast and then go explore the city! im so excited!
