Apologies blog followers but a couple of our recent posts just haven't posted! Growl! We will endeavour to do a summary and bring you up to date with our adventures.
Anyway, it's Tuesday so it must be Islay - what an amazing, beautiful and tranquil island. By far the most relaxed faff we've enjoyed ;-) The island is famed for its distilleries - 8 in all and so far we've visited two, Caol Ila and Bunnahahbain. My noble and glorious frond Lynda has done most of the quaffing while I can only dabble my little finger into the glas for a cheeky taste. Well I am the nominated driver / rally driver!!
Went out to watch the sunset last night, our first west coast sunset, and it was just stunning. If this is earth what must heaven be like? It have we found heaven? We both want to run away from home and stay here.
Last nights wildlife spots included grey heron, common seal, ringed plover, oystercatcher, herring gull, goldfinch, greenfinch, Siskin, meadow pipit and hedge sparrow, oh yes and snipe! Warble, warble, warble!
Plan for the rest of the day is to - well just wing it basically, but I do have to say that joining the distillery dots is a great way to take in the Island delights!
