Arrived on the lovely Isle of Arran yesterday to warm balmy temperatures and glorious sunshine. Well they do say the sun shines on the righteous....
Brod*** is just beautiful, small and unassuming with a liberal sprinkling of pubs and interesting shops. The shops were closed when we arrived but the pubs were open! Excellent! Gin and tonic in The Douglas with a deelish kiln roast salmon salad, they have a good range of locally distilled gins and yes, we gave the gantry a good hammering!
Later we pitched up at the Ormidale on the recommendation of Isla a smashing girl we met in the Douglas. Watched the amazing and fabulous Mad Ferrets, two young guys with a huge well of musical talent and crate loads of energy - a thoroughly entertaining night, and yes we were up dancing!
Couldn't believe how light it was at 11.00pm - photos to follow as I need to borrow them from Lynda's fb page (love technology). Saw a sweet little bat diving around doing sterling work catching midgies (hate midgies)! More later , have a sort of schedule for today we'll be heading towards the Castle, Arran Aromatics, Arran Ales and the promise of a gorgeous trinket shop recommended by Catriona our B&B hostess.
