We definately took it easy in Vang Vieng, it was the best place in Laos for fun and relaxation!!! We spent two days Tubing in the river... I didn't know what tubing was and it was such a great surprise!!! U practically have a tube, like a big wheel, and with a tuk tuk thgey drive u up to the top of the river, where all the fun begins... Little bars along the river, both sides, and slides and swings to use to dive in. So u sit in the tube and the water will take u down slowly and the staff from the different pubs would throw a rope at u, so that u can be dragged to the shore, and u can stop many time in different places, and have a drink, play volleyball in the mud, relax on a amack, really great fun!!! We also did a kajaky tour with our friend Toi, the supervisor in the only restaurant we ate in, and we visited a cave, we had to swim in to enter it, it was scary dark inside and immensily huge!!! Vang vieng is definately a very small place and very turisty, instead of chairs in bars u had cushions and u were laying down more than sat, and the tv was playing friends or family guy over and over!!!
We spent most of the days and nights with Wim, Katy, kyle and cieran. The first day we were there it was Wim's birthday, so he got a bit drunk during the tubing, in the evening in Toi's restaurant Brian and I bought him a cake and afterwards we went to Q bar, abd the Dj wish him happy birthday too!!! What a nice day. After all the guys left for Vientienne we met Mike, just over from Luang prabang and we spent the night with him. That night there was the biggest storm ever, thunders, lightning, and so much rain, unbelievable!!!!
But it s time to leave this place too, unfortunately...Vientienne is waiting for us...
