Day 5 of the cruise....Athens

Had a very restless night last night and woke up this morning with the same pounding headache. We had decided earlier that we may not go into Athens as we have seen the Parthenon and Acropolis etc before. We arrived into Athens at 7am. But we slept in and didn't even bother with breakfast, apart from a cup of tea. By about 1.30 I was starting to feel a bit better so went to the buffet for some lunch. But stupidly had some stirfry chicken and within 15 minutes was back to square one.....headache back and can hardly keep my eyes open! I know that this only happens so rapidly when my body has been overloaded with corn so there must have been heaps of corn in all the delicious food I have been eating over the past few days!!! So now I am really going to have to stick to boring salads or something!!! Strange that we have been travelling for so long and been ok up until now...but of course we have only been eating out every few days or so and cooking our own meals the others. Now I have been eating out all the time so guess that is the difference!!!
It is really hot today, so we came back to the room and I slept for the whole afternoon!!! Lauri watched some movies. I told him to go out and do whatever but he said he was happy to stay in with me. So that was a very boring cruise day!!! Not worth the stirfry sauce or choc dessert!!!
Left Athens at 6pm. Starting to feel a bit better again by then. Went off for dinner at 8.30, and chose the plainest things on the menu this time just steak and veggies,no fancy sauces or desserts and hopefully will be ok! Ended the night upstairs outside in the Sunset Bar. A beautiful still and clear night.
