Today I slept until after nine am and still felt tired on waking, Steven was already up and raring to go for breakfast. I dragged myself out of bed and got dressed before we headed out in search of breakfast, we went back to 'the other side' restaurant where we ordered a rice soup each and a fruit shake (aww how we have missed them). We laid back and I cracked on with the blogs while Steven read his book. While sitting there the sky suddenly turned grey, then black before the heavens opened and we were surrounded by monsoon rain. The waiters flew around and pulled down the tarpaulin protecting the restaurant from the immense rain and no sooner had they pulled it down, the rain stopped and it was all pulled back up as the sun shone. This ritual continued for the next few hours as the weather couldn't work out what it was doing.
By now I was feeling a bit tired and nauseous so we headed back towards the guesthouse where I felt a nap was required. However instead I spent the afternoon hand scrubbing all our clothes, literally filling three huge buckets with hot water and soap powder before scrubbing like a mad women. By the time I had finished the water was black and my hands red, the clothes smelt lovely and clean though and the washing line outside was full. However due to the crazy weather the clothes were going to take ages to dry and so we may spend the next few days in the one set of clothes we owned that were left dry and unwashed.
I then spent the afternoon tweaking the blogs, watching movies and generally being lazy before we chatted with mum. Steven was feeling hungry by now so headed out for some food... The thought of food made me feel sick so I stayed behind chilling. As the afternoon became evening we felt a bit more rested and my appetite returned as long as I didn't think of rice soup so we got baguettes and sat back and watched a movie. The restaurant had made a mistake and given us tuna and cheese instead of just tuna, then tried to get Steven to pay for the two fillings. He stuck his ground though and said that 'you can either take the cheese out or leave it in, but I'm not paying for it when I hadn't asked for it'. I was very impressed...
We munched our dinner then settled down and Steven feel asleep... I spent the evening chatting with my friends while uploading a good weeks worth of blogs, well attempting to through appealing connection. I got there eventually though and headed to bed feeling content that we were up to date.
