I am thoroughly enjoying your blogs and pictures - the pics of Uluru/Ayers Rock were unbelievable! That would have been a dream trek. And a poinsettia tree? Chocolate trees? Who would have thought? Calgary is predicted to have a warm Christmas but then Mother Nature never listens to weather forecasts. I have touched base with Mark and all is taken care of over Christmas. Newalta is closing at noon today and I am looking forward to having 11 1/2 days of recreational time. Not near as exciting as your Christmas experiences but I will enjoy. :-) Merry Christmas to the two of you! Bev

Great pictures and updates. It was pretty spectacular to experience Ayers Rock during the rain and sun.
We look forward to walking on the beach in Comox but am sure it will be in the rain!!

Great to catch up via Skype.
You were certainly up close and personal with the Koala's. They are so loveable.
The movie is The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. I hope it is in theaters before we leave.
Have planned my menu for the dinner.. My goal is to be ready by Thursday.
Take care

Great photo's - enjoying following your little adventure. Reminds me our family's trip 8 yrs ago (yikes - time flies) to the same area. You will indeed have no trouble seeing kangaroos as you drive south. Don and the girls used to drive a backroad slowly at night looking for kangaroos for fun - kangaroos were attracted by the headlights. Lot's lying under the trees along the roadsides by day. I am justing winding up my month in Guanajuato, Mx. Progress on learning spanish - but slow go - definitely don't have the gift of languages! A few photo's posted on Facebook - if you have chance to scan - will give you a good idea of the area. The city of Gto is wonderful - old colonial city in a deep river valley. about 100,000 people. Very big on arts, culture and festivals. Looking forward to a week on the beach next week in Cabo. Head out on Sunday. Enjoy the NE Australian coast! Drive safely. Cheers, Sharon

Great to see your smiling faces! Have thought about you daily, as the bitter cold here makes us very envious, although today it was above zero. Enjoy every moment!!
