Rosalind Innes So glad you are back home safe and sound Rob and Sheila. And by the picture you look the same. You would think such a trip would change a person somehow, but of course we can't see it from the outside, but I'm sure you have a slightly different outlook on our Canadian ways now. I hope you still like us and will stick around home for a bit though before you go on your next adventure!!! Thanks for sharing it all with us, with your great blog. It's been an amazing trip for us all!!!
re: Calgary, AlbertaDenise Balzan Wow what a fabulous adventure. I feel like I've just finished a really good book and didn't want it to end! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your travels through your blog and also by visiting me in the land of Oz. I have great memories of your time here and Jack and I enjoyed sharing our home with you. I hope we can Skype when you return home. The memories of this trip will stay with you forever. Enjoy being back home with your family and friends. Thanks for your friendship xx I'll try and send some Tim Tams your way. I'm sure you're having withdrawals!
re: London, UKBev Garbutt Wow, what an incredible 5 months the two of you have experienced. The memories will last you a life time. It's a good thing you do not scrapbook or you know what you would be doing for the next 5 years! :-) Thank you for taking us "along with you" with your descriptive blogs and fabulous pictures. I will miss the weekly checking in to read (more than once for each episode I might add) about your next adventure. I'm sure you enjoyed "Wicked" - I saw it in Calgary and it is a wonderful musical. I am looking forward to reviewing many of your memories over a cup (or two) of Rob's special coffee. You'll feel like you are right at home in London when you get back to Calgary as we are in for some serious rainfall in the next day or so (maybe even mixed with a little snow) so dress layered for your arrival. See you soon!
re: London, UKDenise Ciao! It sounds like you are continuing to have a great time. I really have enjoyed following your experiences. Take care.
re: Venice, ItalyApril Just saw a fascinating documentary on Constantine's architecture where they looked at the arch in detail with cranes, etc and how it aligned with the rest of the city. Not 1 reference to Christianity on the whole arch, apparently.... Worth looking up when you get back.
re: Arch of ConstantineDenise Hi Guys. Enjoy the eternal city of Rome. My niece Emily is heading to Rome with her school on Good Friday. School excursions have definitely changed since I went to school!
re: Franschhoek, South AfricaBev Garbutt Now I could very easily live in this house - even an enclosed yard for my dogs. :-) I love that architecture. Now if the vineyards were close by - it would be perfect!
re: Cape Style HomeKendra Yes the Grey-Crowned Crane is Uganda's national animal. Good job April! :) Sheila, it's so great to see so many familiar places. I went to Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania in 2008 and went to several place you've experienced. Enjoy the journey!
re: Local CraneDenise I have fond memories of visiting Tanzania - especially the Ngorongoro Crater - a truly amazing place. I always look forward to checking in on your travels.
