Hi Inga and Rose, Great to know that you reached Perth and are now off to meet Diana. The thaw has started here and you could skate on the ice at the front door. Last night I started sliding down towards the pumphouse whilst trying to empty the car. I'm off to take Bykse for a walk, she has cabin fever as it has bucketed rain all morning. The two wee foals are now in the stable, Ruth came to help me coax them up the field yesterday. They were ok in the cold but not in the rain so now they are warm and dry (for Jo-Ann, who worried !). xxxxxxxxx

Did you know why it was a Blue Moon on Hogmanay? Because there was a full moon on Dec 2 and again on 31 Dec. There will not be two full moons in one month again until 2028. Anyway, we had a wow time on Uist, great runs on the beaches and, at last, there are heaters in our bedroom. They made a bit of a din on Hogmanay but apart from that our family behaved quite well and took us out for good walks. Do you get the same moon as we do??? Doggone do!

Happy New Year!!!! Glad to hear that you are having such a wonderful time. Ice on beach here in Uist and so hard that i should have brought my skates for all these lochans. Padraig played accordion, his Dad sang in Gaelic, Fergus played chanter and Finlay went to sleep on new carpet... all were disappointed that you were not there but consoled themselves by eating all the goodies!
