Off at 5.30am for the sunrise at Angkor Wat
Bit of an anticlimax but Angkor Wat itself certainly made up for it
A massive temple with incredible features, towers, rock carvings etc
We have seen a number of World Heritage sites in all our travels but this probably takes the cake
Spent 2 hours wandering around with our guide Thy whose knowledge of his country is extensive
Back to the hotel for breakfast then off to Tonle Sap Lake for a "cruise" to the floating villages where up to 20000 people live in the middle of the lake - homes, shops, schools etc. very interesting other than the trip in the canal to get there was a non event in filthy water
Fee afternoon then out to dinner followed by a walk through the night market and high level bargaining negotiations for 5 Beats Pill bluetooth speakers for the group. Started at $35 each then she didn't have enough so we walked away and 10 mins later she found us in the market and they were now $25 each and she had gathered up 5 black ones form other smallholders so deal done and the good thing is they are real fakes not fake fakes. Online the real real ones are $200. They work we tried them!
Then walked to Pub Street which is a nighttime mall with bars etc. had a cocktail then left the young ones to it while we tuk tuk'd back to the hotel
Great day so much variety
