We're at Provo, in the Turks & Caicos. Had an exciting trip coming down... We'd anchored off Mayaguana so we could leave at midnight for the Turks & Caicos. When we tried to start Zephia, she wouldn't start... Tried three times and she finally started, but I knew something was not right. Then when we tried to pull up the anchor, it wouldn't come up. I pulled and pulled and it wouldn't budge. I was completely exhausted by the time I finally pulled it up. The chain must have gotten wrapped around a rock.
So we take off sailing with good winds. But by 2:30 AM the wind was dying so we tried to start the engine. It wouldn't start...
So I decided that we must have gotten some bad fuel and the fuel filters must be plugged. So I start changing the filters while Pam kept Zephia sailing. The wind continued to die and the waves were pushing Zephia around a bunch. Then just as Pam said that she couldn't keep her going in the right direction, the engine fired and we were able to motor on.
Made it to Provo without any more excitement, other than dodging a few coral heads. We're anchored in Sapodilla Bay. A real nice anchorage. Another successful trip! Life is good.

Polly on the Hill Hi Pam and Steve! It was a pleasure meeting you last night at the Southside Marina BBQ. Imagine - you traveled all this way only to find near neighbors in Colorado! Let's stay in touch and perhaps this summer or next, we can meet up in our other universe. ;-) Polly
