We left Don Khon in the four thousand islands, and headed back to Pakse. We were going to have one final night in Laos but decided as we had a long journey back to Bangkok we would break it up a bit by heading to Ubon Ratchathani - the biggest city in the East of Thailand and only an hour away from the Laos border.
