We were so excited about going back to Singapore, we absoloutely loved it when we visited on our last trip. We had a 5 hour bus journey from KL on a really nice bus with massage seats! On our last visit we had caught a bus out of Singapore to Melaka in Malaysia and the bus had left us at the border as immigration took so long so we were worried that this was going to happen again. When we left Penang for Kuala Lumpar it decided to chuck it down, the rain was so heavy and after waiting for a while we decided to just make a run for it to the local bus which took us to the main bus station. We found tickets for a KL bound bus no problem and waited in a rather unsightly bus station which looked like the extinct tricorn in Pompey. It also smelt of wee! From Langkawi we caught the 5:15 ferry to Georgetown, Penang which is another island further south. The journey took about 3 hours and they played a violent film with lots of swearing in as lots of kids stood up on their seats and watched!
