We are into December and this is our week at sea so there is no escaping the ship...think there is enough to keep us amused though.
We went to see two shows at the theatre, one great and one truly awful. First we had a singer who was fairly dreadful - over the top and self indulgent is an understatement (Ian says I'm a very harsh critic but anyone with ears could hear it was awful...confirmed by several people leaving half way through).
The next show was 'The Love and Marriage' game show (i.e. Mr and Mrs). One half of the couple had to guess what the other would answer. One of the more amusing question was "What would noise, word or phrase would a parrot learn if put in your bedroom for a month". There were 2 newlyweds, a couple of 20yrs and a couple of 50 years. Needless to say this caused much embarrassment for the contestants and much hilarity for the audience. The couple who admitted to joining the mile high club got lots of funny looks and comments for the rest of the cruise. Very Very glad I convinced Ian it was not a good idea to volunteer for the show!!
Today we met our 1st true 'Hick'...not someone you would expect to find on a cruise ship! Long hair, tattoos, thick accent and stories of fights and people he knew in jail for GBH...just what you want to hear over a nice lunch! Its great to meet new people, especially those we wouldn't usually but I think we were both very glad when he left the table!
