We were tempted to travel alaska by Tandem, bloody hilarious trying! but getting more tempted by a car, too much to see and so little time.
Off to decide on our travel plans, starting tomorrow morning, then saying goodbye to Mark and then its time to get lost in the wilderness!

Hi Claire & Ian, by the looks of it you are doing very well, good on yer!!!! Steve & I are having a year long project too! We have bought a house and doing it up, luckily we have got the keys before we move in, started this weekend and now very knackered. Bonus though it is only 2 minutes walk from the pub!!!! ;-)

Howdy folks

After a full 42 hours flying and hanging around in airports we finally arrived in Anchorage. Much to our delight it is beautiful and sunny. We met up with Mark last night and had some nice (large) food and got completely thrown by the fact that teh sun sets only at around 11 pm and stays light for a while after that. It became an accidental late night. It was then sunny again at 4am.
Thanks for all the messages. This may be the only message for a while as they aren't big on internet cafes in this backwards town.

Hi just spent a couple of hours catching up on your postcards. Bridget really impressed by Macchu Picchu, says its her dream place to see. The lamas looked great in the wild. Alaska is prety groovy. Currently enjoying one of its hotter periods. The almost complete lack of darkness at night is weird but means you can party longer! I'm white water rafting early doors on Sat so I'll hook up with you after that. My number at the Inlet Towers is 276 0110, I'm in room 304. You will love Anchorage and I'll give you the lowdown on stuff to do when I see you, looking forward to that. So, until then, ciao

Hi, lovely to hear you on the phone last night, and so..pleased with your fantastic adventures. I hope you don't meet any hungry bears in alaska. I am 'NO LONGER WORKING' wow, a lady of leisure at last. It's strange as I now have no status - what is my occupation? anyway I intend to enjoy some leisure time, gardening,walking, tai chi, extra gym sessions, shopping etc etc ... no time to work now. WestbyMum&Dad fitness wise for you no worries, not sure about the bone crushing downhill bits, this was the hardest part for me, joints not muscles (suprisingly) well worth it though.
