I have just landed in Dublin, Ireland. I was very hungry because the airplane attendants didn't give out food unless I wanted to pay for it. When I finally got to the airport my stomach was growling at me to go get some food. I was feeling just a little homesick, so I decided to get a McDonalds meal. Man I didn't think I was going to miss McDonalds so much. I called home to tell my parents where I was so they knew that I was ok in Ireland. With that done, I went to the hotel to check in. I was staying at the Conrad Dublin. The hotel was 300 Euros a night. When I got to my room I had a great view of Dublin. I unpacked my suitcase and then I read some travel guides to find out what to do first in Ireland. I decided to walk down O'Connell Street and I saw lots of statues and shops. Next, I went to Trinity College to see the Book of Kells. I paid ten Euros and boy, it was worth it! The Book of Kells is a richly decorated manuscript dating back to A.D. 384. The book contains four Gospels in Latin and it has beautiful, intricate and brightly ornamented letters and scrollwork. I got hungry again so I went to a pub called Hogan's. I ate Galway Salmon and I had an Arnold Palmer. My amazing lunch cost 13 Euros. There was live music at the pub and it was different because there was a fiddle player and a woman playing a big flat looking drum called a bodhran. I decide to skip on dinner because I was very tired.

The next, morning I had an Irish breakfast which contained: a sunny side up egg, blood sausage, tomato, and bacon. Breakfast cost 7 Euros. December is Pantomime Season in Dublin and throughout Ireland. It is a big festival that lasts all month long. I went to the theater to see a pantomime show. I was going back to the hotel to grab dinner. Dinner was cabbage rolls with corn beef and fish and chips. Man was I hungry. I also had chocolate potato cake which tasted amazing! After this I went to bed and hoping for more chocolate potato cake.

I realized I had two days left so I went shopping at Grafton Street. I got a pair of shoes which looked awesome. I also got a black waistcoat, I got seaweed for my brother. I also got my mom a worry stone and I also got my dad a fruit cake made with Guinness. My dad loves fruit cake. After that tiring day I had dinner and then went to bed.
