Well it is another hot day and I am sweating like crazy! We have had a busy weekends of lessons and socializing. Although it dawns on me that it is Wednesday already. I am slipping into Ghanaian Mean Time, ha-ha. Seriously though I am learning so much here. I am really fascinated with the gyill and morning lesson time is becoming harder to schedule because of it. I have now learned all 6 variations and three parts to a Dagara song that translates to "Come Dance with Me." My drum lessons are coming along too. I am getting better at the transitions and playing Kpanlogo on my own.
Yesterday I went into the Art Center again with Ben and Joyce. Everyone assumed Ben and I were married, which was nice because I was able to aviod the numerous unsolicited marriage proposals from Ghanaian men. I yet again bought a lot of souvenirs. I think for once I may come home with more things for myself than for other people.
It has been raining again like crazy. The rains last night washed out one of the two roads into town. Some of the school children are going to stack rocks and bricks in the muddy canyon to make a short term bridge so cars can still come in.
That is about all I know I will write more later!
