Hey there all you beautiful bronzed people! So we've left the gorgeous country of Laos with all its beautiful scenery and laidback existance and now we're back to the land of ladyboys and go go bars and getting back into the frantic pace of life in bustling Bangkok! Our exit from Laos was perfect; we got a two day boat trip from Luang Prabang and drifted slowly up to the north of Thailand where we were given a few days to adjust for yet another Thai experience! So we headed through the amazing Thai scenery for Chiang Mai. And as the other travellers around us took off for days of trekking, James and I opted for days of lazing by the pool, taking in yet more shopping at the famous Chiang Mai Night Market, getting back into Thailand's famous green curries, and generally having a social ball with all the other travellers we've met! We then headed to a stunning riverside town called Pai which seems to have got itself a following with travellers and after only a few days there you can see why! The setting is perfect for lazing in your hammocks, reading, chilling and generally doing more socializing. We hooked up with a guy we met in Laos and had some huge benders - god its such a joy to get as wrecked as you like without having to think of work the next day...! (not that that ever stopped us before I hear you say Jane!!) So we dragged our arses and our hangovers away from Pai and down to Bangkok where we find ourselves now awaiting the arrival of Sayaka who's coming to visit us for a week!
