Hi dee ho good neighbours
Up bright and early and breakfast with kerrry, little bit of internet then some quiet time watching the ranch on Netflix
Also I’m exhausted the humidity is crazy here and no air conditioning. Do Spaniards not sweat. I’ve urinated once in three days . Come on help me out
Anyway Kerry and Sue were gonna hang around the pool, but Dom and I decided to head to playa del arenas. Grabbing a lounger and umbrella (6 euros) and we were happy.
I spent time between floating in the ocean to finishing my book on economics ( and yes it is a book on understanding world economies and how the intertwined with politics and the environment). Yep a few layers to ole Harold eh.
The fun part was watching people go from their loungers to waters edge in bare feet. The black sand was scorching. Some quality entertainment was had.
Periwinkle went for a swim and old ( sheep dog Harold) kept watch . Well dammed if periwinkle decides to swim towards the “only” area where your not allowed, these being the rocky shores. I was just about to swim out and redirect her when she turned around and swam back to safety. It’s tough being a sheep dog.
We stayed there for 3 hours then wandered back and joined kerry and sue poolside. Glorious. Yep periwinkle is nice and pink from too much sun as am I.
Then to the great Russian periwinkle battle of 2019. Well it starts with “Rude Russian guy” in the lobby scolding sue as he felt she should sit elsewhere as he was talking to someone and she was disturbing him. Well periwinkle heard of this and felt action must be taken. Periwinkle deliberately sought out a chair bedside “RRG” , turned on her iPad to Facebook, and started watching videos with the volume on. Yep s*** kicked his Russian ass with a plethora of her funny cat videos Periwinkle 1 rude Russian guy nothing
In fairness he probably thought periwinkle was boiling mad with anger as she was so flushed. Nope just burnt
Any case I rescued Russian guy as I saw him tap out after his 10th cat video and I escorted periwinkle to supper. Ribs were on the main course. So I had ribs the some ice cream. ( still judging are you?)
Then it’s heading up to our room to pack as we need to catch the bus at 842 in the morning. Followed by a transfer and then our flight at 1245hrs to Sintra Portugal.
A new adventure to be had
Hopefully periwinkle doesn’t pick a scrap with anyone else tonight.
